The Raid Bras du Nord races have been part of the Raymond landscape since 2004. Over the years, this event has stood out and its reputation now attracts athletes from all walks of life. In 2023, more than 772 cyclists took part in one of our races! The presence of a beginner's course and the possibility of choosing the distance of the course during the race make the Raid Bras du Nord an innovative and unmissable event in Quebec!

**Brand new courses are being developed for 2024! Distances may vary in the coming months.

L'Avant Bras 20 km - (U15 / 11 years and over)

The Avant Bras will allow U15 and beginners of all ages to experience the excitement of the start. This race is perfect for young people and for cycling enthusiasts wanting to experience a mountain bike race. Participants in the 20 km will be entitled to a mid-course refreshment and post-race refreshments.

Le Petit Bras 30/45 km - (U15 / 14 years and over)

The mass start brings together more than 400 cyclists. They set off for a major challenge allowing them to cover several kilometers of trails specially designed for the event.

Le Gros Bras 60/75 km - (17 years and over)

​The bravest of our participants will dare to challenge the Big Arm! Quickly, the route plunges into new paths which will offer cyclists unique and breathtaking landscapes. A great challenge awaits the cyclists which will certainly test the endurance of the participants.

Prices and registrations

Registrations for the RBN Races on August 24, 2024 are possible from February 8 to August 22, 2024 at 11:59 p.m.

Pre-sale rates (20%) are in effect from February 8 to March 31, 2024 11:59 p.m. After this date, regular rates apply.

L'Avant Bras - 20 km - (U15 / 11 years and over)

Registrations are open to everyone (11 years and over). This is the ideal opportunity for beginners or for parents to accompany their children and thus take on the challenge of the Raid Bras du Nord. All mountain bike enthusiasts are also welcome.

The participant must have a valid license or obtain a daily license from the FQSC when registering ($20).

Le Petit Bras - 30/45 km - (U15 / 14 years and over)

Halfway through the 30 km course, the participant will be asked to make a crucial choice between two distances. The cyclist can decide to take the return route (total of 30 km) or to continue their challenge with an additional 13 km (total of 45 km).

FQSC license

FQSC license

A valid FQSC license is required to participate in the Raid Bras du Nord races.

If you do not hold an annual license from the FQSC or UCI, you will need to purchase it for $20 when you register by selecting the option INCLUDING the daily license from the FQSC when registering.

The FQSC license must be obtained ONLINE BEFORE the event. No sale of the annual license on site. Please identify the event: Raid Bras du Nord

Important notes

  • The FQSC license is mandatory.
  • The recreational license is not enough.
  • The Raid Bras du Nord organization does not receive any amount linked to the purchase of the FQSC license.

Purchasing policy

Refunds and deferrals

Registrations cannot be refunded or postponed. However, it is possible to transfer your registration to someone else.

For any exceptional situation, please contact the organization. A $35 administration fee applies.

Cancellation of the event

Refund: In the event that the Raid Bras du Nord is unable to hold its event, your registration will be automatically postponed to next year without an increase in registration fees or imposition of administration fees.

Collection of plates and race starts

Plate collection, registration and race starts are all done at the main event site.

To avoid waiting, you can register and collect your plaque in advance at the event site: Friday before the race from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Otherwise, please arrive earlier on Saturday morning by consulting the office opening hours depending on your race. The complete program can be found on our website.

You must collect your plate one hour before your race.

Race regulations

Here is a reminder of some essential regulations. No misconduct will be tolerated.

  • All cyclists must follow the marked route;
  • You must ask a slower cyclist to pass in a courteous manner;
  • A slower cyclist must give way to a faster cyclist when requested and when he judges the maneuver to be safe;
  • No cyclist is allowed to wear headphones during the race;
  • We do not tolerate any waste thrown on the ground;
  • A participant is obliged to provide assistance to any runner in danger or notify the nearest volunteer.

Race details, maps and technical sheets

Technical details will not appear on our website. They will be emailed to registered runners via email a few days before the event.

In order not to compromise our very valuable rights of passage, maps will not be published before the races.

VAE - Vélo à assistance électrique (eBike)

Les Vélos à assistance électrique (VAE) ne seront pas autorisés à participer aux Courses RBN 2024. Des raisons de réglementation et de sécurité sont à l'origine de cette décision. 

Medals, podiums and scholarships

There will be podiums/medals for the first three in each category in all distances on the program according to FQSC regulations.

However, we reserve the right to modify the awarding of medals depending on the number of registrations in the respective categories.

The scholarships will be distributed according to the general classification of the 81 km, for men and women according to the rules of the FQSC in force.

The first 3 positions per category (men and women mountain bikers) will be awarded a medal.

eBike feature

According to the FQSC regulations, electrically assisted bicycles (VAE) will be accepted on “raid/marathon” type events, under the following conditions:

  • Any VAE participant will not be considered to be in a competitive category;
  • No podium, nor medal presentation (symbolizing a result) or scholarship will be offered because it is currently impossible to guarantee fairness in the power of the engines used;
  • A final time may be communicated to participants for information;
  • The categories of participants will be exclusively “Open Men” and “Open Women”;
  • The age to participate in VAE is U19 and over;
  • The VAE category will have its own start (differentiated from other categories of riders).

Temps limite de course

To have access to the 81 km Gros Bras route, you must be at the separation point before 12:30 p.m.

In all cases, cyclists must pass through the entrance to Monsieur Roland before 3:00 p.m. to be able to continue on the route.

Campsite near the site

You have the possibility to set up in a campsite (tent or RV) near the main site from Friday evening.

Reservations are only possible online before the Thursday before the event at 11:59 p.m.

Spectators and attendants

The organization of the Raid Bras du Nord has planned a full day of activities at the Saint-Raymond Ski Center, directly on the start/finish site. Those who wait for the cyclists to arrive will have access to on-site entertainment and inflatable games for children.
